Over the course of two weeks from 10^th-20^th August, we saw five players win €1,005,000 each during the EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ event. On Tuesday 10^th August, an online player in Wicklow became the first winner in the highly anticipated event after purchasing their golden ticket online. A few days later, Friday the 13th proved lucky for a Dublin player who joined the roll call of winners after purchasing their winning ticket at the Spar store in Woodbine Park in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Meanwhile, an online player in Louth became the third winner in the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ on Tuesday 17^th August. The special EuroMillions event came to a dramatic close on Friday 20^th August when two players won €1,005,000 each on the same night. The fourth and fifth winners were an online player in Dublin and a Waterford winner who purchased their winning ticket in the Tesco store in Ardkeen village.

The five special ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ winners were not the only big EuroMillions winners during the month as we also saw three EuroMillions Plus players scoop the top prize of €500,000 each. A Dublin player got their weekend off to an incredible start on Friday 6^th August with their top prize win after purchasing their ticket in the Spar shop on the Clogher Road in Crumlin, Dublin 12. A few days later, another Dublin player had a similar win after purchasing their ticket online on day of the draw. On Friday 27^th August, a Rebel County player became the third EuroMillions Plus top prize winner of the month after picking up their ticket at the Dunnes Stores in Bishopstown Shopping Centre on the Curraheen Road in Cork. 

The Lotto jackpot has been rolling since Wednesday 9^th June which means that we did not see any jackpot wins during the month of August. However, there were several lucky players from Dublin, Cork, Meath, Limerick, Longford and Wicklow who came within just one number of the jackpot throughout the month by matching five numbers and the bonus. The biggest Lotto winner of the month was a Dublin player who scooped themselves a cool €111,461 in the Saturday night draw on 7^th August.

An online Daily Million player in Meath won the top prize of €500,000 in the Daily Million Plus draw at 9pm on Tuesday 10^th August. The lucky winner purchased their normal play ticket on the website to scoop their half a million fortune. 

August was an incredible month for our scratch card players which saw top prizes being won across a number of our games. One lucky player won the top prize of €50,000 on a €5 Bingo Multiplier scratch card which they purchased at the Applegreen in Stag Retail Park in Dromin Upper, Listowel, Co. Kerry while another player scooped the top prize of €30,000 on a €3 Cashword Doubler scratch card from Tesco on Railway Road in Birr, Co. Offaly.
