There was a flurry of excitement in Lottery HQ as winners visited capital to collect their winning cheques. Our most recent Jackpot winner (1st March), a Limerick couple, claimed their Lotto Jackpot prize worth an astonishing €2,655,366. Their winning ticket that turned dreams into reality was purchased from Gala, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick.
With their life-changing windfall, the ecstatic winners are now basking in the glow of their incredible fortune. While they have no immediate plans for their newfound fortune, they are thrilled at the prospect of looking after their friends and family, the couple shared, “While we take our time to decide what to do with this life-changing prize, our habits of playing the Lotto will more than likely continue - we even have our Lotto tickets purchased for this Saturday's draw!”
A woman from Wicklow made her way to Lottery HQ to claim her dazzling EuroMillions Plus prize of €500,000, which she purchased from Lidl Bray, Dublin Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Completely overwhelmed, she recalled “I play both the Lotto and EuroMillions most weeks, but the most I've ever won was €2,000. On the night of the draw, I checked the prize breakdown to see if there were any winners locally. Initially, I thought I was one of the €5,000 raffle winners until I scanned my ticket, and it said ‘You’ve Won Big’ - I couldn’t believe it”
A Cork woman, joined by her close friends and family, received her cheque of €100,000 after scratching her way to fortunes on a Money Multiplier Scratch Card, purchased from Amber/Spar, Upper Strand, Youghal, Co. Cork.
Speaking about her win, she said “Every Friday, my friend and I are on the road with work, and we always stop along the way to pick up a Scratch Card each. I couldn’t believe it when I revealed the top prize, our car just erupted in screams of excitement!” Her friend, sitting beside her, chimed in “It couldn’t have happened to a nicer person!”
The Corkonian plans to look after her loved ones and treat herself to a nice summer holiday.
A Ballyfermot man claimed his handsome Top Prize of €50,000 on a Bingo Multiplier Scratch Card. He told us, that without fail, his girlfriend gifts him a scratch card every Wednesday. She purchased his winning card from Eurospar Inchicore, The Tramyard, Spa Road, Inchicore, Dublin 8.
“In the past, we’ve won free Scratch Cards, or a couple of euro here and there – certainly nothing to this value. It’s unbelievable! I’ve been wanting to buy a van to convert to a camper and travel around the country for the longest time – now we get to do that!”
A Louth man also collected his cheque of €30,000, which he won on an All Cash Tripler Scratch Card. His winning card was purchased from Lanney’s SuperValu, Ash Walk, Ardee, Co. Louth.
