Fill’er up to €250,000! Life-changing top prize win at Tallaght petrol station

Dublin man scoops €50,000 online on Instant Win Game

A National Lottery player had a car journey to remember after popping into a Dublin petrol station and leaving with a top prize win on a Mega Money Multiplier scratch card. The astonishing €250,000 prize was won at the Circle K Kilnamanagh petrol station on the Maybury Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

The winner was delighted to collect their cheque at Lotto HQ and explained that it was a last-minute decision to make the life-changing scratch card purchase.

"I pulled into the petrol station on the way home from work as I didn't want to land home too early - I'd only be lumped with more jobs! I decided to mix things up a bit and go for a different scratch card to the one I might normally go for,” he said.

The winner went on to admit that it took some time to believe what he was seeing: “I went out and sat in the car to scratch it and couldn't believe my eyes. I'd just won €250,000! Even though you can see it right in front of you, you still can't wrap your head around it!”

Meanwhile, an online Dublin player also had to do a double take after playing the Cash Showdown game on the National Lottery app. The Dublin man scooped a cool €50,000 on the Instant Win Game but did not realise his good fortune immediately.

“I saw the €50,000 amount show up in the app after playing but I assumed it was just showing what I could have won. It was when I logged back into the app and saw the Congratulations banner that I realised that I had actually won – it was a huge shock! I rang the Claims Department  straight away to confirm and was thrilled to hear that I wasn’t seeing things. It was definitely an unexpected win but certainly welcome.”
