Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot rolls towards €7 million (est)

Saturday night’s Lotto draw saw 113 players get a massive boost to their winnings as the National Lottery topped up the Lotto Plus Raffle with an additional €1 million. The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 80 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw. Last night, there were 113 Raffle winners which meant the boosted prize fund divided out to a prize of €9,350 for each Raffle winner.

The winning ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets and check www.lottery.ie for details of their nearest An Post Prize Claim Centre where prizes up to €14,999 can be claimed. Alternatively, they can contact the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie. Online players will receive notification of the process for claiming their prizes.

As last night’s jackpot of €6,621,828 was not won, Wednesday night’s (10th March) jackpot will now roll to an estimated €7 million.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Last night’s draw saw our first Lotto Plus Raffle promotion of 2021 with 113 lucky winners benefiting from the boosted prize fund. Instead of receiving €500 as is the typical prize for the Lotto Plus Raffle, each of these winners will now claim €9,350 after €1 million was guaranteed to be won in the Raffle for Saturday night.”

The spokesperson added: “As the jackpot for was not won last night, Wednesday night’s jackpot will now roll to an estimated €7 million. There is a huge buzz growing around the jackpot now as it has been rolling since Saturday 30th January. We are encouraging all of our Lotto players to continue to follow the Government guidelines in place and to avoid any queues in shops when buying their tickets for Wednesday’s draw. Players who are unable to get to their local store can play all of their favourite National Lottery games online at www.lottery.ie or by using the National Lottery app.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
