Wicklow Seeing Double with Ireland’s First EuroDreams Top Prize Winner and a Tier 2 Victory!
10/09/2025
An online player in Co. Wicklow has officially become Ireland’s first EuroDreams top prize winner, securing an incredible €20,000 every month for 30 years (that’s a staggering €7.2 Million!) after matching all six numbers and the Dream Number in Monday night’s (8th September) EuroDreams draw.
But the celebrations don’t stop there.
In an extraordinary twist, another Wicklow player matched six numbers to win the Tier 2 prize of €2,000 a month for five years. Their winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at SuperValu, Castle Street Shopping Centre, Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Since its launch in 2023, EuroDreams has now seen seven Tier 2 winners in Ireland, with prizes claimed by players from Dublin (4), Cork (1), Kerry (1), and now Wicklow, which has made history with this unforgettable double win.
The winning numbers in Monday night’s (8th September) EuroDreams draw were: 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31 and the Dream number was 5.
Speaking on their Tier 2 win, SuperValu Bray Store Manager, Tanya McGarry, said: “There’s fantastic excitement in-store, our team is buzzing, customers are talking about the win, and the whole Bray community is celebrating. It’s incredible to know that a ticket bought right here has delivered one of the top EuroDreams prizes. We’re so proud to be part of the joy and excitement, and we wish the winner all the very best!”
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, said: “Monday’s draw was truly historic for the National Lottery – to have not only our first ever EuroDreams top prize online winner, but to have two Irish winners in the one night, is fantastic. We can officially confirm that the two prize winners have made contact with our Prize Claims team and we’re looking forward to welcoming them to Lottery HQ in the coming weeks!”
EuroDreams launched in Ireland just two years ago, and unlike other draw-based games, the annuity top prize which is worth €7.2 Million will be paid in monthly tax-free payments of €20,000 spread over 30 years. Similarly, the Tier 2 prize will be paid in monthly tax-free payments of €2,000 spread over 5 years.
The game is played in eight countries, namely Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, with draws taking place every Monday and Thursday evening at usual National Lottery agents nationwide, online or at www.lottery.ie or through the National Lottery app.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the
National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 Million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
