Sweet Treats and Surprise Wins! Cork and Dublin Players Share Over €270K in Prizes!
A Life-Changing €10.5 Million Could Be Yours in Tonight’s Lotto
9/07/2025
Cork’s winning streak shows no signs of slowing down! Hot on the heels of last month’s EuroMillions Jackpot win, another Rebel County player has struck gold, this time claiming a life-enhancing €194,616 after matching five number plus the bonus, in the 21st June Lotto draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Circle K Blarney, Tower Filling Station in Tower, Blarney, Co. Cork.
“I remember the day so well, it was an absolute scorcher!” the winner recalled. “I popped in for an ice cream and on a whim, grabbed a Lotto ticket. I usually go for four lines, but the cashier accidentally printed just two. I had a feeling I couldn’t let that ticket go!” What seemed like a mistake turned into a winning move!
When asked about the win, the Corkonian laughed “You’d get an awful slagging in Cork if people found out you’d won a bit of money!”
The winner celebrated quietly with close family and plans to enjoy the windfall while keeping life grounded and joyful.
Also claiming a €78,500 match five and bonus prize was a Dublin-based work syndicate of 32 members from the 23rd April Lotto draw. Their winning ticket was purchased online, and the group has been playing steadily together for the past nine years, but this is certainly their biggest windfall to date.
“We only found out recently because the email notification went to an inbox we rarely check” one member explained.
Once the news broke, excitement spread quickly. “We sent an email around to everyone in the syndicate, and the replies came flooding in. Everyone was just so thrilled, it was such a great surprise!”
The prize money is already being put to good use, with members planning holidays, weekend getaways, and well-deserved treats.
As they left the winners’ room, spirits were high and optimism even higher. “This is just the warm-up, we’ll be back soon!” one member teased to the Lottery team.
