All Cash Celebrations in Lottery HQ as TWO players from Cork and Wicklow claim €200,000 EACH on Scratch Card games!

It was a big week for Scratch Card players in National Lottery Headquarters as not one, but two players claimed the top prize of €200,000 each on their €10 All Cash Spectacular Scratch Cards. A Wicklow man was thrilled to pop into the Winners Room to pick up his top prize cheque after purchasing his Scratch Card at the Texaco Lake Service Station on the Baltinglass Road in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
“To think, the Scratch Card was just sitting there on a shelf for a few days before I even went near it. I bought it and then completely forgot about it! When I finally scratched it and saw the top prize staring back at me, I was in complete shock. The first person I told was my wife and she definitely didn’t believe me at first. I made sure to hide the Scratch Card properly when I knew just how much it was worth – a ticket worth €200,000 just sitting idle in my house for days, never in my wildest dreams!”
Also claiming their All Cash Spectacular Scratch Card prize of €200,000 was a Cork woman who picked up her winning card while doing a quick grocery shop in Tesco, Mahon Point, Cork City.
Sharing the moment she discovered the win, she told the National Lottery team "I completely forgot I had the Scratch Card until later that evening. I was upstairs when I scratched it and got the shock of my life. At first, I thought it was €20,000 - I couldn’t read it properly! I legged it downstairs to my husband to double-check. He was sceptical at first but then confirmed it was actually €200,000."
She continued, "I like to buy a Scratch Card every now and then, and while I’ve won a few euros before, this is by far the biggest and most exciting. There was great excitement in the house, we’re all buzzing!"
She’s now looking forward to celebrating with her family and is considering a cruise holiday in the near future.
An Athlone woman also made the trip to Lottery HQ to collect her Telly Bingo Snowball Prize worth €45,005 from the 17th October draw. Her winning ticket was purchased from Spollen’s Supermarket, Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath.
Speaking on her surprise win, the Athlone woman recalled “Funnily enough, I don’t play Telly Bingo and this was actually a gift from a friend. Admittedly, I don’t really know how to play”, she laughed.
“I checked the ticket after hearing there was a local win. I scanned the ticket on the app and from there, it was a rollercoaster of emotions, I just couldn’t believe it. I immediately told my colleagues, family and friends - everyone was thrilled, it was such an exciting moment!”
Meanwhile, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €75 Million! Players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest millionaire are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store, via the National Lottery app or online at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
