Bumper weekend for National Lottery players with TWO massive jackpots up for grabs!

Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot heading for an estimated €160 million!

The Lotto roll continues! Saturday night’s jackpot set to hit an estimated €7 million

National Lottery players all over Ireland are preparing for a big weekend with not one, but two, huge life-altering jackpots on offer.

Excitement is well and truly building ahead of tonight’s (Friday 5th of May) EuroMillions draw, which will see a jackpot of an estimated €160 million up for grabs among the nine participating countries in the EuroMillions game.

So far this year, the EuroMillions game has made three millionaires in Ireland and has seen six players win the top prize of €500,000 each in the EuroMillions Plus draw.

Since the EuroMillions game launched in Ireland in 2004, there have been 17 Irish EuroMillions jackpot winners. If tomorrow night’s staggering €160 million jackpot is won in Ireland, we could see a new Irish winner added to the roll call of jackpot wins.

As players all over the country dream of becoming the fourth EuroMillions millionaire in Ireland this year, the National Lottery is appealing to players to purchase their tickets early, either in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm deadline for ticket sales tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, the Lotto jackpot roll continues and is now set to hit an estimated €7 million. The current Lotto jackpot has been rolling just shy of 7 weeks since Saturday 18th March. So far this year, there have been four Lotto jackpot wins by players in Limerick (2), Dublin and Meath.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a weekend we have ahead of us! We could potentially see two hugely life-altering amounts being won by National Lottery players in Ireland. Tomorrow night’s EuroMillions jackpot rolls to an estimated €160 million, creating incredible excitement amongst our players. If a player in Ireland scoops this astonishing amount, it would bring to 18, the number of Irish EuroMillions jackpot winners since the game launched in Ireland in 2004. And of course, there is a huge buzz around this weekend’s Lotto draw with the jackpot heading towards an estimated €7 million. With two incredible jackpots in both EuroMillions and Lotto just a day apart, we are encouraging players to purchase their tickets early as we expect there to be a big uptake in sales ahead of the draw times. We are reminding players that the cut-off time for sales for EuroMillions tickets is at 7.30pm on Friday evening while the cut-off time for sales for Lotto tickets is at 7.45pm on Saturday evening. Tickets can be purchased in-store, on the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie."

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago. In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.

Play National Lottery games responsibly, play for fun.
