Tonight’s Lotto Jackpot soars to an estimated €7.5 Million marking the second highest jackpot of the year

Excitement is building amongst National Lottery players across the nation as tonight's lotto jackpot rolls towards an estimated €7.5 Million, making it the second highest lotto jackpot of the year. 

So far, there have been six new millionaires made from Lotto and Lotto Plus games this year, including four jackpot winners from Limerick (2), Dublin and Meath.  

Back in January, a family syndicate from Co. Limerick scooped the highest jackpot of the year, taking home a whopping €11.1 million. They purchased their winning quick pick ticket in Kelly's Costcutter in Foynes, Co. Limerick.  

Players hoping to be in with a chance of becoming Irelands newest millionaire and 5th jackpot winner of the year, are advised to purchase their tickets early, either in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm deadline for ticket sales this evening.

Players dreaming of becoming Irelands 5th Lotto jackpot winner of the year are encouraged to purchase their tickets early ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time this evening. Tickets can be purchased in-store, on the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie." 

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago. In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
