The National Lottery is marking a major milestone as it relocates its headquarters from its iconic bilding on Abbey Street to 1 George’s Quay, the former Ulster Bank headquarters in Dublin.
Since its inception in 1987, the National Lottery had operated out of the Abbey Street building, where thousands of winners collected life-altering prizes over the years. Now, the organisation is embarking on a new chapter, with a state-of-the-art, sustainable office space to continue delivering memorable experiences for players across the country.
Since its inception over 37 years ago, winners from all over the country have travelled to Lottery Headquarters to collect utterly life-changing prizes. The largest cheque given in the famous Winners’ Room was worth over a staggering €175 Million after Reillys Daybreak on the Main Street in the Naul, Co. Dublin sold the largest EuroMillions prize in Ireland in February 2019. Over 10 years before, another National Lottery winner made history after claiming over €115 Million in July 2005. The incredible amount was won in the EuroMillions game and at the time held the record for the highest amount ever won in any European lottery.
Another historic entry into the roll call of all-time highest ever prizes claimed came in July 2020 when a EuroMillions player in Dublin won over €49.5 Million. The win marked the largest prize ever to be won in the National Lottery online channels.
The top 20 highest ever National Lottery prizes claimed over the years soar from over €15.65 Million to over €175 Million.
