‘Forgotten’ €1 Million Lottery prize guaranteed to make one Lotto player a Christmas Millionaire in Saturday’s special draw

The National Lottery has confirmed that it will hold a special ‘GUARANTEED to be won’ €1 Million Lotto Plus Raffle event on Saturday 23rd December.

This additional €1 Million prize comes from a ‘forgotten’ €1 Million prize which remained unclaimed after a player in Monaghan missed a prize claim deadline in November. The Monaghan player had initially won the €1,000,500 prize on the Lotto Plus Raffle on Saturday 19th August.

This ‘guaranteed to be won’ prize will be added to the Lotto Plus Raffle which typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw. The Christmas draw on Saturday 23rd December will see one of these Raffle winners boost their winnings by an additional €1 Million.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 Million.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We were incredibly disappointed when this player in Monaghan failed to collect their €1 Million Lotto prize last November. However, we are delighted to be able to return this prize to our players and especially just before Christmas where one person will become a guaranteed Millionaire!

This weekend is set to be life-changing with one Lotto Plus player GUARANTEED to become a Millionaire. Saturday night’s draw will see one winner of the Lotto Plus Raffle win €1 Million on top of the usual Raffle prize of €500.

“We are reminding all of our Lotto players hoping to become a Millionaire this weekend that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7:45pm cut-off time for sales on Saturday night.”

NO REPRO FEE: 27th October 2023. The National Lottery is continuing to appeal to Lotto players in Monaghan to check their old tickets from Saturday 19th August as a prize worth €1,000,500 remains unclaimed.

This Raffle draw will guarantee that one player will become a Millionaire just before Christmas.
