Lotto jackpot roll continues! Wednesday’s jackpot heads towards €15.5 million (est)

A Lotto player in Dublin will be celebrating this morning after becoming Ireland’s newest millionaire after scooping the top prize of €1 million in last night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw. The National Lottery has said it hopes to reveal the name of the winning store which sold the €1 million Lotto Plus 1 top prize on Monday.

The winning numbers for last night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 01, 02, 25, 30, 41, 42 and the bonus was 36.

There was no winner of last night’s astonishing €14,945,893 Lotto jackpot which means that Wednesday’s jackpot is now set to roll to an estimated €15.5 million. The current Lotto jackpot has been rolling for over three months now since Wednesday 9th June. A single winner of Wednesday night’s estimated €15.5 million jackpot would become the biggest Lotto winner in over ten years.

Last night’s draw also saw 139 players get a massive boost to their winnings as the National Lottery topped up the Lotto Plus Raffle with an additional €1 million. Lotto Plus Raffle winners typically win €500 each in every draw. Last night, there were 139 Raffle winners which meant the boosted prize fund divided out to a prize of €7,694 for each Raffle winner.

The winning Lotto Plus Raffle number was: 6895

The winning Lotto Plus Raffle ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets and check www.lottery.ie for details of their nearest An Post Prize Claim Centres where prizes up to €14,999 can be claimed. Alternatively, they can contact the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie. Online players will receive details of the process for claiming their prizes.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “And the roll continues! It’s been over three months since the Lotto jackpot has been won so the anticipation truly is building for our Lotto players. Next Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot is set to be the highest amount seen in the game for over 10 years as we see the jackpot roll towards an estimated €15.5 million. While there was no winner of last night’s incredible €14,945,893 jackpot, we did see over 142,000 players win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. Last night’s draw marked our fourth Lotto Plus Raffle promotion of the year with 139 lucky winners benefiting from the boosted prize fund. Instead of receiving €500 as is the typical prize for the Lotto Plus Raffle, each of these winners will now claim €7,694 after €1 million was guaranteed to be won in the Raffle for Saturday night.”

“The biggest winner of the night was a Lotto player in Dublin who won the life-changing prize of €1 million in the Lotto Plus 1 draw. The top prize win comes just one week after a Monaghan Lotto player had a similar win in last weekend’s draw. As with any prize win over €1 million, it is important that we inform the winning retailer and of course to give the winning ticketholder the time they need to let this incredible news sink in.  If you are the lucky ticketholder please be sure to sign the back of the ticket, which is now worth €1 million, and keep it in a safe place. You should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. Since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago, €6 billion has been raised for Good Causes. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
