Lotto jackpot hits highest amount seen so far in 2023
Get ready for an explosion of excitement as Saturday night's Lotto jackpot rolls towards an estimated €12.5 million, making it the largest jackpot of the year so far!
This weekend could prove to be truly memorable if a Lotto player finds themselves added to the list of all time highest jackpot winners ever seen in Ireland.
Since the Lotto game launched in 1988, only 15 jackpots in excess of €12 million have been won. Will tomorrow night’s draw see a new entry to this highly coveted list?
As we get closer to the draw, the National Lottery are reminding players that the cut-off time for ticket sales is 7.45pm on Saturday evening and tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Excitement is building for Lotto players all over the country with the jackpot rolling to the highest amount seen so far in the game this year. Since 1988, the Lotto game has seen 15 jackpots won in excess of €12 million. As tomorrow night’s jackpot heads to an estimated €12.5 million, could this total rise to 16? With players dreaming of becoming the next Lotto multi-millionaire, don’t forget that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie, ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales tomorrow evening.”
