The Cavan Centre has been named the Youth Award winner at the 2025 National Lottery Good Causes Awards, recognising the centre’s outstanding work in supporting and empowering young people.

The Cavan Centre, based in Ballyjamesduff, provides vital services for young people, including educational support, mentoring, wellbeing programmes, and community engagement initiatives from disadvantaged areas of north inner-city Dublin. The centre focuses on fostering confidence, resilience, and life skills, giving young people the tools to thrive in their communities.

The Good Causes Awards celebrate inspiring organisations and individuals across Ireland who benefit from Good Causes part-funding. The 2025 awards ceremony took place at Killashee House Hotel, Co. Kildare on Saturday, 18th October 2025, hosted by Marty Whelan.

Daithí O’Sé, broadcaster and Chair of the 2025 Judging Panel, said:
The Cavan Centre exemplifies what it means to put young people at the heart of a community. Through their programmes, they empower young people to take control of their futures, build resilience, and thrive socially and emotionally. It’s inspiring to see the positive impact they have on young people from disadvantages areas of Dublin.”

The Cavan Centre received €10,000 as the Youth category winner.
