National Lottery players all over Ireland are getting ready for a Bank Holiday bonanza with two massive prizes up for grabs across the weekend.

Tonight’s extra special EuroMillions draw has a guaranteed jackpot of €130 million. If a player in Ireland was to win this life-changing amount in tonight’s draw, they would become the first Irish EuroMillions jackpot winner of 2023. The winner would also take the 18th spot on the roll call of Irish EuroMillions winners since the game launched in Ireland in 2004.

EuroMillions players hoping to be in with a chance of winning this staggering amount are reminded that the cut-off time for ticket sales is 7.30pm this evening.

National Lottery players will also have the chance to win another astonishing jackpot tomorrow night as the Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €10.5 million. 2023 has seen the Lotto jackpot won four times so far by players in Limerick (2), Dublin and Meath.

See below for roll call of Lotto wins this year:

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Two draws with two massive jackpots across two nights means that this could be a huge weekend for National Lottery players. Tonight’s EuroMillions draw will see a guaranteed €130 million up for grabs. If the Friday night jackpot is won by a player in Ireland, they will officially become the 18th Irish EuroMillions player to win the jackpot in Ireland since the game launched in 2004. The newest National Lottery multi-millionaire would also be the first EuroMillions jackpot winner of the year to date.”

“And that’s not the only hugely life-altering amount on offer this weekend! Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €10.5 million. We are reminding players dreaming of winning big this weekend that the cut-off time for sales for the EuroMillions draw is 7.30pm this evening while the cut-off time for tomorrow night’s Lotto draw is 7.45pm on Saturday evening.”

The National Lottery has announced the launch of its new pay-as-you-play app feature – “Scheduled Play”, which allows players to easily schedule their play for Lotto and EuroMillions games on their National Lottery App.

With Scheduled Play, players can set up a schedule for 3, 6 or 12 months, and play once or twice per week for the duration of the schedule. This service is designed to simplify lottery play.

One of the key benefits of Scheduled Play is that players can opt out easily at any time. Players only pay when they play, and not in advance.

Scheduled Play also allows players to budget and to decide what they want to spend on their lottery play on a weekly basis.  In conjunction with already well-established player protection measures including weekly spend limits and take-a-break, Scheduled Play is an important measure to help our players maintain control over their spending and enjoy National Lottery games without exceeding their intended budget.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago. In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.

Play National Lottery games responsibly, play for fun.
