Tonight’s €95 million (est) EuroMillions jackpot draw will guarantee at least one new millionaire in Ireland!

National Lottery to make five new millionaires in Ireland in two weeks with special EuroMillions events

The National Lottery is set to make five people brand new millionaires over the two weeks from 10th – 20th August with a series of special EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ events. These raffle events mean that there will be one guaranteed winner of €1 million in each EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 10th August, Friday 13th August and Tuesday 17th August.

This Ireland Only Raffle event will come to a dramatic close on Friday 20th August when not one, but two EuroMillions players in Ireland will win a life changing €1 million each.

Welcoming the return of the special Ireland Only Raffle  EuroMillions event, a spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We are hugely excited for this exclusive Ireland only event which will see five guaranteed EuroMillions millionaires from 10th – 20th August. Usually, every EuroMillions draw in Ireland produces ten winners of the €5,000 raffle prize but during this special event, in addition to the normal raffle prize on each draw, five winners across all four draws will win the special €1 million prize. This means that we are going to make at least five people brand new millionaires.”

“Not only will the Ireland Only Raffle event see the creation of five instant millionaires in Ireland over the two weeks, but all EuroMillions players in Ireland will also be in with a chance of becoming Ireland’s first EuroMillions jackpot winner of 2021”, the spokesperson continued.

The Ireland Only Raffle special draw returns after a hugely exciting introduction in November 2020 which saw winners in Dublin (4) and Galway picking up the additional prizes of €1 million.

How do I enter the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’?

Every player in Ireland who buys a ticket for any EuroMillions draw between Tuesday 10th and Friday 20th August will be automatically entered into the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ for that corresponding draw. A unique code on each ticket will be the player’s raffle number. Five players over the special event will become guaranteed millionaires. It could be you!

How does this work?

As with every EuroMillions draw the ‘Ireland Only Raffle' sees 10 winners, drawn at random, receive €5,000. One of these ten winners will then have an additional €1 million added to their prize in the first three of the four draws over the two weeks. On the fourth, and final, draw two winners of the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ will win an extra €1 million.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
