A record for 2021! Tomorrow night’s €11million (est) Lotto jackpot will be the highest of the year so far

Tomorrow night’s €11 million (estimated) Lotto jackpot will be the highest Lotto jackpot of the year to date. One lucky player could become the biggest Lotto winner of 2021 and the newest multi-millionaire by winning the life-changing amount in Saturday night’s draw.

The only Lotto jackpot won this year was on Wednesday 27th January when an online player from Limerick scooped the massive €8,530,884 jackpot.

Since the Lotto game was launched in 1988, only 26 jackpots in excess of €10 million have been won.

As tomorrow night’s €11 million (estimated) Lotto draw gets closer, the National Lottery are appealing to players to follow the guidelines in place and to avoid queues in shops by purchasing their tickets early and safely.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This could be a highly memorable Easter weekend for one lucky Lotto player as the jackpot rolls towards an estimated €11 million. This is the largest Lotto jackpot that we have seen so far this year, so we are expecting an increase of interest from our players in the hours leading up to the draw tomorrow night. We are encouraging all of our Lotto players to purchase their tickets early and to continue to follow social distancing measures in place while doing so. Tickets can be purchased in-store, in-app or on www.lottery.ie before the 7.45pm deadline tomorrow night.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
