Tis the season for life-changing wins as Lotto players get set for a Saturday night to remember!

Saturday’s Lotto draw Guaranteed to make ONE Lotto player a Christmas Millionaire

Lotto players get set for an estimated €10 Million Jackpot this weekend

This Saturday’s Lotto draw promises to be life-changing as the 23rd December draw will include a special ‘GUARANTEED to be won’ €1 Million Lotto Plus Raffle event.

The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but on Saturday 23rd December, one of these Raffle winners boost their winnings by an additional €1 Million.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 Million.

Ahead of the Christmas weekend draw, Lotto presenter Bláthnaid Treacy is looking forward to giving a Lotto player a truly unforgettable Saturday night.

“Imagine spending your Christmas Eve Eve becoming a Millionaire! It’s the type of thing that most people can only dream of but of course for one lucky player, it’s about to become a reality. I am thrilled to be the presenter on duty for this particular draw and hoping that the winner is tuning in to check their ticket on the night! There will most definitely be at least one Lotto player in Ireland getting their festive celebrations underway early, that’s for sure!” she said.

This additional €1 Million prize comes from a ‘forgotten’ €1 Million prize which remained unclaimed after a player in Monaghan missed a prize claim deadline last November. The Monaghan player had initially won the €1,000,500 prize on the Lotto Plus Raffle on Saturday 19th August.

And that’s not the only staggering amount on offer this weekend. As there was no winner of last night’s €9,274,400 jackpot, Saturday’s Lotto jackpot is now heading towards an estimated €10 Million. The National Lottery are advising players dreaming of winning big that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the cut-off time for sales at 7:45pm on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, last night’s Lotto draw saw a Tipperary player match five numbers and the bonus to win €46,075 in the main draw. The winning Normal Play ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Ballylynch Service Station on the Waterford Road in Carrick on Suir.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday 20th December draw were: 05, 22, 24, 29, 32, 37 and the bonus was 31.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize in Lotto HQ.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago. In 2022 alone, €259.5 Million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
