National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2018

The National Lottery Good Causes Awards aims to celebrate the inspiring and innovative work being carried out by the thousands of individuals, organisations, groups and sports clubs all over Ireland who benefit from National Lottery Good Causes funding. Each winner has received €10,000 for their good cause and the overall winner was awarded €35,000 to continue their own work in their community. The grand final gala of the Good Causes Awards will took place in Dublin on November 3rd. See a list of the finalists here

The National Lottery Good Causes Awards initiative has 7 categories that projects are eligible to apply under.

The  winners of the National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2018 are:

 

Sport & Recreation - Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team from Co. Wicklow

 

Health & Wellbeing - Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland from Co. Dublin

 

Community - North Offaly Community Development Network from Co. Offaly

 

Youth - Children's Grief Centre from Co. Limerick

 

 

Arts & Culture - Waterford Healing Arts Trust from Co. Waterford

 

Heritage - St. Catherine's Church Restoration Committee from Co. Leitrim

 

Irish Language -  Raidió Rí-Rá from based in Co. Dublin

 

Good Cause of the Year

The winner of the overall award for good cause of the year was awarded to Children's Grief Centre from Co. Limerick

 

Congratulations to all the winners and all the amazing finalists who took part in the awards ceremony! 

2018 is the first year of these awards and these awards are open to any community project, club or individual who has received National Lottery funding from the years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Learn more about eligibility criteria and competition rules here.
