Good Causes & Winners

With your help, for the second year running, the National Lottery generated a record level of funding for distribution to good causes throughout Ireland. In 2008 a total of €267.8 million was raised for good causes, up over €22 million from €245.5 million in 2007. This is the largest amount ever raised by the National Lottery in a single year.

This brings the total amount raised since the establishment of the National Lottery to over €3 billion, this is a very significant milestone in the history of the National Lottery. Over 21 years this fund has been allocated to worthwhile projects in the areas of Youth, Sports and Amenities. This is the largest amount ever raised by the National Lottery in a single year.
