What is Lotto 5-4-3-2-1
Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 is based on the results of the National Lottery's Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws which are televised live on RTE every Wednesday and Saturday. It gives you the chance to win bigger prizes for picking and matching fewer numbers.
How to play Lotto 5-4-3-2-1
You may play Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 on one or more of the three games (Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2). You may play 1, 2, 3 or 4 panels using this playslip. Panels A and B will be entered only in the 6 Number Game(s). Panels C and D will be entered only in the 7 Number Game(s). Mark your playslip boldly with a pencil or blue ball-point pen (DO NOT USE RED PEN) as follows:
1. Mark All 3 draws to enter your number selection(s) in all 3 games or mark Lotto and/or Plus 1 and/or Plus 2 to indicate the game(s) in which you wish to play Lotto 5-4-3-2-1.
2. Mark 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 to indicate how many numbers you wish to play per draw.
3. Mark €1, €2, €3, €4 or €5 to indicate the amount of money you wish to play per draw.
4. Mark your selected number(s) from 1 to 45 OR mark the QUICK PICK Box if you want the computer to randomly select your number(s) on that panel.
If you make an error in any panel, mark the VOID box at the bottom of that panel, then make your selection on another panel. DO NOT ERASE. Give your completed playslip and money to the National Lottery Agent and you will receive your ticket for the draw(s). If you have played Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 on Lotto, “LOTTO YES” will be printed on your ticket under the Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 logo. If you have not played Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 on Lotto, “LOTTO NO” will be printed on your ticket. Similarly, YES or NO will be printed under PLUS 1 and PLUS 2 to indicate whether or not your number(s) are entered in either of those games. Before leaving the Agent’s premises check the entries on your ticket to ensure they are the ones you have selected. Your ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize and will indicate the draw date(s) for which it is valid. Do not fold, mutilate or make unnecessary marks on this playslip as you may wish to use it to play the same number(s) again.
Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 Advance Play
* Advance Play allows you to play up to 8 draws in advance
* Simply tick the appropriate Advance Play box for 2, 4 or 8 draws
* Your Advance Play ticket will clearly show the number of draws you are in and the inclusive set of dates that apply to your ticket
* The number of draws will always include the next Lotto and/or Lotto Plus 1 and/or Lotto Plus 2 draws that you have entered
* If you win any prize in any one draw you can claim it in the usual way
* On doing so you will be issued with an exchange ticket to cover the remaining draws you have already paid for
* Whether you are away or cannot play, Advance Play is the easy way to ensure your lucky numbers are always in the game
How to win
* On each draw date there will be a Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draw
* These will be three random drawings of 6 main numbers and one Bonus Number (the seventh number drawn) from the numbers 1 to 45.
* A Play wins if all of the selected numbers are among the numbers drawn.
* If all of your 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 number selections in any 6 Number Game are included in the first 6 numbers drawn or all of your 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 number selections in any 7 Number Game are included in the 7 numbers drawn, including the Bonus Number, in the draw for which you have entered, you win the appropriate prize.
