NLC Interactive Privacy Statement - General Statement
This statement relates to An Post National Lottery Company (“NLC”, “We” or “Us”) privacy practices in connection with this Website and the Interactive System. NLC respects your right to privacy in relation to your interactions with this Website and the Interactive System. Any information which is provided by you will be treated in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Acts, 1988 and 2003 and any implementing and/or amending legislation as may be adopted in Ireland from time to time.
We recommend that you read this Privacy Statement carefully before using this Website and the Interactive System. You should not use this Website or the Interactive System if you do not agree to the treatment of your personal information in the manner as set out in this Privacy Statement. By using this Website and the Interactive System, you signify that you have read, understood and consent to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Statement and to our use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner prescribed in this Privacy Statement.

Access by children
You should not provide us with your personal information if you are below the legal age to play the National Lottery (i.e. eighteen years of age or under) or equivalent lotteries or to engage in any gaming or gambling activities. We do not intend to and it is not our policy to collect information from any individuals under this legal age. Where we receive notice or believe that someone under the legal age has provided us with personal information we will make reasonable efforts to remove such personal information from our files.
Collection and Use of Your Personal Information
For general web browsing no personal information is revealed to us.
When registering with NLC in order to access the Interactive Service and play the Games, you will be asked to provide certain personal information to us, such as your name, email address, home address, phone number, date of birth, user name and Password etc. You may also be requested to provide a copy of your photo ID (drivers licence/passport). Any personal information that we collect from you will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided by you.
We may collect and use your personal information in order to;
(a) identify you as a user and register you as a subscriber to and/or player of Games;
(b) administer any subscription and/or on-line accounts you have with the NLC (including, if you have provided us with credit card details, checking that you are entitled to use that credit card and that you have sufficient funds to play the Game);
(c) provide lottery services and Games on the Interactive System;
(d) enter you into Games;
(e) contact you by post, email or telephone should you win a Prize or to ask you to confirm/amend the information we hold on you;
(f) provide you with a user name;
(g) ask your views on the service offered by NLC and to enhance market research and promote the NLC's services and games.
The Company may also use your personal information to personalise marketing or other notifications you have agreed to us sending to you. In providing your personal data, you consent to being contacted by the NLC (by post, email, SMS or telephone) in relation to all matters relating to the Interactive Service and/or the Games and to the NLC processing your personal information for the above purposes.
If at any time after giving us your personal information, you decide that you no longer wish us to hold or use this information or if your information becomes out of date, we encourage you to contact us and we will endeavour to rectify or remove the information promptly.
We do not collect or use your personal information for any purpose other than those purposes outlined above and we will not keep your personal information for any longer than is necessary.
Third Parties
We never wilfully disclose your personal information to any third parties without your prior consent. However, where we work with third parties to provide certain services on our Interactive System, including but not limited to customer support, assistance with the validation process, managing and processing credit card transactions,and, and/or managing the aggregation of SMS traffic we will need to disclose your personal information to such third parties. Where we disclose personal information about you to a third party, such third parties are required to uphold the same privacy principles as those set out in this Privacy Statement. These third parties are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purposes. NLC retains the right at all times to contact you in relation to the Interactive Services, the Games and any other services provided via the Website. You also acknowledge and agree that in certain circumstances we may be obliged to disclose your personal information to other third parties, for example, in order to conform to requirements of law or to comply with any legal process as well as to defend and protect the rights of NLC, our licensors and/or our other customers.
Marketing Information
If you have consented to receiving marketing information during the registration process, we may use your personal information to send you notifications about special offers or new Games. You may optout of any or all marketing communications from NLC at any time by sending an email to support@lotto.ie. Personal information about you will not be given or sold to any third parties for use by such third parties in marketing or solicitation without your prior consent.

You should be aware that when you link to a third party’s website from this Website NLC has no control over that third party’s website. NLC cannot guarantee that the controller of that website will respect your privacy in the same manner as NLC. NLC is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites.
