What is the best way to set up a syndicate?

Organising a group or syndicate with your family, friends or work colleagues is good fun and can increase your chance of sharing in the dream of winning big prizes in National Lottery games such as Lotto and EuroMillions.

We recommend that syndicate members agree a set of rules among themselves to suit the needs and preferences of their particular group and it is a good idea for each member to have a written copy of your agreement.

Here are a few important points to keep in mind when organising your syndicate;

Agree a set of rules and supply each member with a written copy.

Keep track of your syndicate’s payments and winnings.

Always check your numbers carefully. Numbers can be checked on this site after each draw, or why not sign up for our email results newsletter and have them delivered directly after the draws. Click here for more details

It's a good idea to decide and agree together, what you are going to do if a member of the group misses a payment for any particular reason.

Think about what you will do if someone decides to leave the syndicate or if new members wish to join.

All members of the syndicate must sign the back of the ticket and a syndicate member or representative should contact the National Lottery claims department. (01-836 4444, Mon - Fri 9.15am - 5.30pm)
